It started as a dream in a conversation between Caroline Lamar and Tonia Latham on August 18, 2021 (and yes, they still have the text messages!) As COVID continued to cause delays and challenges throughout the world, the dreams were put on the backburner until January 2023, when the conversation was revived with the question of “How could we help more people in our community quicker and easier?” Andrea Pope, Amy Dunaway, Ann Drake, Karen Hobby, and Regina Jennings were asking the same questions, and within 2 months, the full plan for 100 Women of Blount County was developed and implemented.
